Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines what is and is not permitted on the Gulacart platform. This policy supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Prohibited Products

You may not list, advertise, or sell the following on Gulacart:

  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or parts thereof
  • Counterfeit or pirated goods (fake branded products, copied software, etc.)
  • Stolen property
  • Human remains, body parts, or organs
  • Endangered wildlife products or ivory
  • Products that promote hate, violence, or discrimination
  • Child exploitation material of any kind
  • Personal information or data of third parties (e.g. selling email lists)
  • Malware, hacking tools, or exploits
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing kits, or get-rich-quick schemes

2. Restricted Products

The following products require additional compliance and may be sold only if you meet all applicable legal requirements in your jurisdiction:

  • Alcohol and tobacco products (must comply with local licensing laws)
  • Pharmaceuticals and medical devices (must hold appropriate licences)
  • Food and beverages (must comply with local health and safety regulations)
  • CBD and hemp products (legal status varies by country)

If your store sells restricted products, you are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

3. Prohibited Conduct

  • Creating fake stores, fake reviews, or artificial traffic to manipulate the platform
  • Sending spam or unsolicited messages to other users or their customers
  • Attempting to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the platform without permission
  • Interfering with the platform's operation, performance, or availability
  • Using the platform to facilitate money laundering or fraud
  • Creating stores solely to earn affiliate commissions without genuine commercial intent
  • Misrepresenting your identity, business, or product origin
  • Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others

4. Content Standards

All content on your Gulacart store — including product names, descriptions, images, and store branding — must:

  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Not contain hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory language
  • Not contain sexually explicit material (unless your jurisdiction permits it and the products are legal)
  • Use images you own or have a licence to use

5. Enforcement

We review stores and content regularly and act on reports from users and third parties. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

  • Issue a warning and request that you remedy the violation
  • Remove specific products or content
  • Temporarily suspend your store
  • Permanently terminate your account without refund
  • Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities

6. Reporting Violations

If you encounter a store or product that violates this policy, please report it to abuse@gulacart.com with the store URL and a description of the violation. We investigate all reports.
